Have you ever thought about how you would like to be remembered by loved ones, friends, and the people whose lives you have touched? If you think leaving a lasting legacy in this world requires fame and fortune, think again! While prestige and money can have a positive influence in creating a better world, there are simpler ways to make a lasting legacy even without the material wealth and celebrity status to back you up. Here are some of the things you can do to make a positive difference to the people around you.

Be mindful of others. Paying attention, especially to the people around you, is one of the simplest ways to leave a legacy. It helps you notice others more. Observe the people you see around you. Chances are many of them are familiar fixtures of your everyday life. Take the time to acknowledge them. Give a warm smile to the janitor you see at the lobby of your office building every day, help an elderly cross the road, chat with the sales person at the local store you frequent. People remember those who exhibit warmth and kindness even to strangers.

Take the time to connect. Every interaction is an opportunity to connect and create positive memories. Be fully present in conversations with others, especially with those who you may not be able to have the chance to meet again or as often as you would like. Making it a habit to listen to what others have to say, remember things about them, and acknowledge their achievements can leave a positive impression and impact to their day.

Be a positive role model. Nothing draws people like authenticity and positivity. If you want to influence others in a positive way, you have to be a role model of positivity. You cannot force people to like you, but they will gravitate to those who can inspire, lead, and make a difference in their lives.

Give back or pay it forward. Generosity is not measured by wealth and material things alone. Be generous with your time, abilities, and whatever you have to share with others. You can do volunteer work or find ways to help others without expecting anything in return. People remember acts of kindness, especially those given when they needed it most.

Be an advocate for change. What makes your heart bleed? The answer to that may vary from person to person. Child abuse, war, hunger, environment degradation, human rights violations, and many more are just some of the world problems that require immediate and lasting solutions. Choose an advocacy closest to your heart and support it in whatever way you can.

led-grow-light-grow-tentGrow tents are the answer to the prayers of wanna-be indoor growers. They’re efficient, convenient, comfortable to use, and they consume minimal space. They also maximize any lighting system by reflecting 100% of the light. To boot, they even trap odor!

Grow tents are offered at different prices, and they also come in various sizes and models. They’re perfect for any plant, especially for cannabis plants.

Grow tents are efficient only if you know how to use them the right way. Below are the tips you should keep in mind when using a grow tent or thinking of purchasing one:

  • grow-tentDon’t buy tents that are made of cheap, thin plastics—they might not last until the end of one season. Invest in high-quality structures that you can use for longer.
  • Opt for corrugated plastic if you want the grow tent to be the permanent shelter for your plants. If it’s just for temporary use, say just for a season or two, then an 8 mil plastic will do.
  • Be careful in choosing the design. Outdoor grow tents are entirely different from indoor ones.
  • Decide whether you need a small, medium or large grow tent. Your decision will be based on the type of plants you’ll be cultivating. For marijuana plants, here are my favorite tents for growing weed. This should help you begin gardening.
  • Set it up where it’s not a disturbance. It’s best to install it out of the way or in an area you don’t usually use.grow-tent
  • Get the necessary instruments to help you maximize the power of your grow tent, such as a thermometer, a hygrometer, and an air purifying system.
  • It’s recommended to have an active air intake fan because things can get too hot in a grow tent. It could be a tad smaller than your exhaust fan.
  • Use water-cooled lighting to avoid heat from building up heat. If water-cooled lighting isn’t available, then use an air-cooled light system instead.
  • Follow instructions on the manual regarding its hanging requirements. You should be able to answer the question, “Where should it hang from?”
  • Check how much weight your grow tent can support to avoid putting too much stress on the frame. This will also allow your plants to breathe inside the tent since it isn’t overcrowded.
  • Never place a gas-fired carbon dioxide generator inside the grow tent.
  • Whatever you do, never put anything on top of your grow tent and do not lean on it.
